Finest Foodies Friday – December 5, 2008
Welcome to another rendition of The Finest Foodies Friday!
As always here is what the FFF is all about. Finest Foodies Friday! FFF is a weekly Friday post featuring favorites from The Foodie Blogroll! We do this so we can share in the rich diversity of what The Foodie Blogroll has to offer by featuring some of our favorites and yours!
What is the Foodie Blogroll? It is the first and fastest growing free membership blogroll for food bloggers and has become a wonderful community (just over 2500 strong) to share ideas about all things food related.
The only requirement to be featured here on FFF is to be a member of The Foodie Blogroll and be displaying The Foodie Blogroll widget on your blog. If you are not yet a member, but you have a food blog and would like to join us, please click here!
If you have a favorite foodblog on The Foodie Blogroll, that you would like to be featured here on FFF, please join us over on The Leftover Queen/Foodie Blogroll Forum, and post your favorite Foodie Blogroll foodblogs here.
Food Frolic, Wine and Adventure
This blog is authored by Snow White and Golden Piglet who are lovers of Italy, The Old World and living a pleasurable life. I must admit that I agree with those sentiments and therefore really enjoy the musings, stories and recipes on this blog. If you are looking for an escape from your regular routine, check this one out!
Cheese Boutique
It is no secret that I love cheese and so I am always happy to come across a blog that is entirely devoted to this wonderful food item. But this is not only the title of the blog, but also of an actual cheese boutique. Oh how I wish I lived in Ontario….Today also seems to be the day to feature people with fantastic food aliases – the authors of this blog are The Big Cheese and O-reagano. But do not fear if you are not a huge lover of cheese, there are other foods that get featured on this blog, including other delicious foods in their shop. So I would suggest checking it out nevertheless. Me, I’m just going to go there to drool π
Pineapple Bread
This is another drool-worthy blog. Authored by Jeanne, and primarily featuring baked goods, this blog also draws a lot from Jeanne’s Taiwanese-American background. So you will find both Western and Eastern styles of cooking here, and really tantalizing photos. Pineapple Bread actually refers to a type of bread found in parts of Asia that has a crisscross pattern, making it look like a pineapple, although it does not contain the fruit itself. I love when I learn a new foodie fact!
One Food Guy
I love the tagline of this blog: “eat first. take names later”. A good food philosophy!
The other thing that is great about this blog is Food Guy’s Tuesday’s Tasting where he features store bought foods (most of what I can see is from Trader Joe’s – YUM) and critiques them. This is very helpful if you aren’t sure whether to try something or not. There are also restaurant reviews and great recipes, so be sure to check it out!
La Cocina De Nathan
If you love Latin food, this is a great to check out delicious recipes. Nathan’s Comida is a mix of foods that showcase his Spanish, Mexican and Cuban heritage – which to me just spells good eats! All his recipes use fresh and delicious ingredients and just look divine. So if you are looking for something different and delicious, please check out Nathan’s blog!
That’s it for this week! I hope you enjoyed this week’s FFF. Remember, if you would like to see a blog featured here, who is part of the FBR please visit the forum and nominate them. I NEED NOMINATIONS!!!!!!
Also we all love to know how people came to find our blogs, so please visit all of our featured bloggers today and don’t forget to tell them that you found them via Finest Foodies Friday!

Jenn, I’m surprised and delighted that Toronto’s Cheese Boutique made your FFF.
I’ve been to the store, wowed by the quality products, knowledgeable staff, best cheese selection in town and their own aging room for meat!
