…another MEME
I have been tagged by Dharm at Dad~Baker & Chef for another meme. I really liked the premise of this one so I decided to give it a go. It was actually much harder than I thought and turned out to be quite philosophical as well! Who would’ve thunk it? I am not going to tag anyone, but I do hope that any interested parties will feel free to participate and comment here to let me know! It is always fun to learn new things about all the foodies out there!
So here goes, my middle name meme:
You have to post these rules before you give the facts.
Players, you must list one fact that is somehow relevant to your life for each letter of their middle name. If you don’t have a middle name, use the middle name you would have liked to have had. When you are tagged you need to write your own blog-post containing your own middle name game facts.
At the end of your blog-post, you need to choose one person for each letter of your middle name to tag. Don’t forget to leave them a comment telling them they’re tagged, and to read your blog.
Janice
J – is for Joy. I have so many things in my life that bring me great joy – love, family, friends, animals, the sea, trees and smiles. I am thankful for all the simple things that give me such happiness – a bowl of ice cream, a great conversation over coffee, the feeling of warmth in a hug, the sun shining through the clouds after a rainstorm, or even taking a nap during a thunderstorm. Did I mention how much I love animals? There is such joy in just being alive. I also have immense joy for all things food related. I feel like a kid in a candy store and food just always makes me happy.
A – is for Autumn, my favorite season of the year. There is just something crisp and comforting in the air – like an electrical charge. Autumn is the time for taking stock, hunkering down for colder seasons and turning inside for reflection and quiet moments spent with loved ones. It is also the time of year for Thanksgiving, my favorite holiday – not only for the food but for spending time with the people we care about and breaking bread together.
N – is for Nocciola, my favorite flavor of gelato and a nut I enjoy so much in everything from cookies to cakes to savory dishes. It is known as Hazelnut in English, but for me, the word makes more sense in Italian.
I – is for International. For as long as I can remember, I have always been fascinated by other cultures. I have spent much of my life in pursuit of gaining knowledge and understanding about other places, their customs, languages, spiritual beliefs, foods, climates, plants, etc. And how much I have learned! It helps to get a feel for the people and where they are coming from. It is awesome to me, truly awesome how diverse this earth is, and how still at the end of the day we are all just people going to work, feeding our families and just living life. If more people understood this and paid attention to this fact, I believe there would be more peace and understanding in the world. I pray for this, as it is something much needed!
C – is for cookie. Nah, just kidding. C is for Counting our Blessings. Enough said.
E – is for Eternity. The length of time in which it will take me to do and try all of the things I want to accomplish in my life.

Jenn is Joy! Wonderful post about wonderful you.
Sitting here in Japan, melting in the 90 plus heat, just wishing for a bit of that youthful energy. I think you are now just at the beginning of discovery in your life, and with that open attitude and enthusiasm, I know it’s going to be a life filled with great things.
Lucky us that you are choosing to share some of that.
Thanks!
🙂

I love hazelnut too – but it DOES sound better as Nocciola. Actually, it makes it sound calorie free fat free and guilt free when you say it in Italian.
The Leftover Queen - September 6, 2007 at 6:17 pm
Absolutely!
