Welcome to Beautiful Easy Delicious Tasting Foods: All in Your Pantry!
Welcome to The LeftoverQueen.com !
What you have tucked away in your pantry and refrigerator can determine what kinds of meals you can make. People often don’t have a lot of time to cook, but want to make good food, fast, easy and inexpensively. What better way to do this than use items you have from previous meals, or items you have stocked in your pantry or fridge? The goal of The Leftover Queen is to share with you the secret, essential ingredients for your pantry and refrigerator and how to use your leftovers by combining them with these stocked items.
Lately, a lot of people have been catching on to the idea of using leftovers and having a variety of ingredients with which you can make beautiful meals with things you already have. Just flip on Food Network and celebrity chefs like Giada De Laurentiis and Robin Miller are talking about it all the time.
I have been using these ideas for years to save money, not waste food and be creative with what is on hand. If you are well stocked with a variety of foods you can be creative and imaginative when it comes to cooking! Look through this website for many ideas of how to use leftovers, but always feel free to improvise and use what you have! I hope you will enjoy these recipes. I want The LeftoverQueen.com to be an interactive website. So please feel free to comment on recipes that you have tried, how you liked them, and what changes you might have made so others can enjoy them as well. If you have questions about any of the ingredients please feel free to ask!
Have Fun and
Happy Cooking!

Hey there,
I was trying to find your email but could not so i am responding to your comment here.
Anybody can participate in the Hay Hay it’s Donna Day event. Once the winner is announced he/she will give the month challenge on his/her blog and then you have 2-3 weeks to make something and post about it. Anybody can participate and anybody can vote. It’s a lot of fun once you get into it!
i was hooked my first time and won the cheesecake edition, that’s why I got to host this month and chose mousse. I can’t wait to announce the new winner. So far it is still up for grabs.

On monday may 1st, I will announce a winner and that winner has a week or so to come up with a theme and he/she will give the details on when to have your recipe posted and where to send it and all that. He/she will take a few days to do a round up, there will be a few days to vote and another winner will be announced and the whole thing starts over again.
my email is posted on my round up post.

Your leftovers are considerably different from mine considering the different cultures in which we live. I called them planned overs when they are really good food.
Today’s planned overs are the bones and bits from yesterday’s boned stuffed leg of lamb… broth for interesting risottos!
An Italian response to many leftovers is called sformato, which is a savory custard in which primarily vegetables are baked. Yummy, too. Occasionally it also has a crust or filo, so it starts to look like upside-down quiche.

Hi Judith!
Thanks for stopping by and saying hello!
I agree, many times I plan my leftovers so I can make certain dishes from them. Risotto with lamb broth sounds delicious!
I guess I am a bit of an ecclectic cook. I enjoy the cuisines of many different countries especially Southern Mediterranean, even though I grew up in an Italian household. But my family is also from Southern Italy, and I know regional cooking in Italy is vastly different!
I hope you will come over and again and share some more of the “planned overs” ! 🙂
